Ahli and Zamalek were paired together in a deadly CAF Champions League Group A, alongside ASEC of Ivory Coast and Dynamos Harare. The Egyptian titans, who both hold the record of five African titles, will kick off their quarter-finals campaign against eachother in July. The arch rivals meet for the second time in three years, following their semi-final confrontation in 2005. ASEC also get Ahli for the second season running, while outsiders Dynamos are boosted by their shocking elimination to holders Etoile Sahel. The other group includes Nigerian champions Enyimba, Sudan's Hilal, Mazembe of Congo and Cotonsport of Cameroon. In the Confederation Cup, Harras Al-Hodoud will meet South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the competition's fourth round.
