Hamburg playmaker Rafael van der Vaart will be fined for his comments against the club's decision to punish Vincent Kompany. The Dutchman publicly questioned Hamburg's decision to suspend Belgian defender Kompany for some poor displays. He believed that all Hamburg players are not their best and thus, Kompany shouldn't shoulder responsibility for the team's recent poor results. Hamburg were unhappy that Van der Vaart made his feelings known. "Rafael broke the code of honor and will be fined," Hamburg sporting director Didi Beiersdorfer was quoted as saying by Bild. Hamburg lie fourth in the Bundesliga table with 48 points, three adrift the final UEFA Champions League qualifying spot.
