Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson said that Arsenal were unlucky to get nothing out of Sunday's 'outstanding' game at Old Trafford, which the Red Devils won 2-1. Ferguson's men took a major step towards the Premiership title, thanks to a killer free kick from Owen Hargreaves. However, Ferguson felt that his opponents, who had the lead, deserved to get more out of the 'outstanding' encounter. "I watched the Liverpool-Arsenal game on Tuesday and I thought it was an absolutely fantastic game, but the quality out there today was outstanding - you won't get a better game this year," he told Sky Sports. "They were the better team in the first half and I thought we were a bit nervous. Our passing was poor, I thought our confidence in expressing themselves was poor, I couldn't wait to get to half-time. "There was always a second team for me today though because (Carlos) Tevez and Anderson were always going to play a part. "When Arsenal scored it forced my hand and we were fantastic after that. Wayne (Rooney) could have had a hat-trick, we played some good football, Arsenal had fantastic moments themselves and it was just an incredible game. "I think Arsenal were unlucky not to get something from the game.
Wenger: Its over "They put everything into it, you couldn't ask for more from a team than Arsenal produced today. They have given their best effort I think, but we still managed to win it." Wenger Accepts It Arsenal's Arsene Wenger admitted that his side's chances of getting a hand on the title are over, but the Frenchman had something to cheer about though. "Yes we are out (of the title race) of course," he said. "I think we played with quality and spirit today and I am very proud of our performance, but what can you do? "I think we got the message in March, we are not stupid, we understood it and we have to accept it. "I feel that we had plenty of chances and were really unlucky not to win this game today. I just feel that in the last two months we have not been very lucky and we have seen that again today. "It's difficult to find an obvious reason for our problems when you watch the game today, but the quality of performance we produced it is difficult to blame anybody." The Gunners need a miracle to reach the summit as they are now nine points behind leaders United, with four games remaining.
