Palermo have fired manager Francesco Guidolin for the fourth time in the space of three years, as Stefano Colantuono takes over. Guidolin's relationship with chairman Maurizio Zamparini reached a dead end after the recent poor run of results in the Serie A. "After examining the developments of the last few days, there are no longer the necessary factors in place for Palermo to confirm their faith in Mr. Francesco Guidolin," read a Palermo statement. "As a result, he has been relieved of his job as first team Coach. That role has been handed to Mr. Stefano Colantuono who will take charge of training tomorrow afternoon." New coach Colantuono has been replaced by Guidolin just four months ago, following a 5-0 defeat to Juventus in November 2007.
