Uruguayan striker Vicente Sanchez is reportedly on his way to join German side Schalke. According to Mexican sports daily Record, the Deportivo Toluca player is set to switch for Schalke worth $4 million and his contract will include a clause which allows him to return home if things don't work out in the German club. The 28-year old player will undergo the medicals tests before signing a two-year contract with Schalke. "It's a dream come true for me to play in Europe. I'm happy to be joining a big club but sad to be leaving a team like Toluca where I've played for seven years," Sanchez told a press conference. Sanchez scored 85 goals for Deportivo Toluca since joining the team in 2001. The Uruguayan striker is the third player to sign for Schalke in January following Brazilian Ze Roberto from Botafogo and German midfielder Albert Streit from Eintracht Frankfurt.
