Italian striker Luca Toni revealed that he was inches wide from joining AC Milan before switching destinations and move to Bayern Munich. “Everyone knows that I nearly joined Inter two years ago and that Juventus were interested in signing me,” The 31-year old striker told Football Italia on Friday. “However, with Milan it went a lot further – I had already signed a contract. I could also have been a Roma player as they nearly signed me when I was playing for Cisco Roma.” Toni signed a four-year contract with the Bavarian giants as he is looking for a Champions League title and it seemed a very long shot when he was at Fiorentina. He is now on top of the Bundelsiga scorers' chart with 9 goals in 15 matches. Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini also revealed that he offered Toni for Milan four years ago for 9m euro but they weren't interested and so he moved to Fiorentina.
