Manchester United stay in Arsenal's tail

Arsenal maintained the top spot in the Premier League after beating West Ham 2-0 on Wednesday while Manchester United kept on chasing them with a 1-0 win over Birmingham.
The Gunners hit two in only 18 points to seal the victory and clinch their 50th point of the season. Eduardo Da Silva broke the deadlock after only two minutes with a powerful kick from inside the box.
Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor intercepted Gael Clichy's long ball and shot from a tight angle between the post and defender to secure the full points of the game.
Elsewhere Carlos Tevez had to do the job in the absence of injured striker Wayne Rooney. He scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute to keep Manchester United just two points behind leaders Arsenal, 48 pts.
