Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Valencia Captain David Albelda when the transfer window reopens next January. Spanish newspaper Marca revealed on Thursday that Atletico's bosses are going to approach Albelda. A step that comes after Valencia boss Ronald Koeman showed Albelda and Canizares the exit door. The report also confirmed that Albelda might be tempted by the offer especially that he wants to have regular football in order to be included in Spain's squad for the Euro 2008. The 30-year old defender is also waiting for an Italian loan offer and his destination should be announced in the next few days.
