Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has revealed striker Ahmed Hossam "Mido" could make his return ahead of schedule and feature for Egypt in the African Nations Cup. The former England defender said that Mido has resumed trainings after being out for ten weeks. Mido, who had an excellent start with Boro, has been ruled out since Chelsea's game on October 20th with a pubic bone problem. "It's unlikely that Mido is going to play before middle of January so he won't really have played any games, so they will have that in mind," Southgate told the club's website. Egypt boss Hassan Shehata has announced a 32-man experimental squad for the CAN and it didn't include Mido.
