Kuwaiti side Kazama, where Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Fathi plays, beat Al-Nasr 5-4 on penalties to go through to the Kuwait Cup quarter finals. The first half ended with a 2-0 lead for Kazma courtesy of Nasser Al-Wahib, 7, and Mohamed Al-Abad, 37, goals. But Fathi, who had a starting role, was sent off in the 53rd minute. His teammates could hold on until the 71st minute before Abdullah Mamdouh and Brazilian Flavio levelled the score to 2-2 in only three minutes. Kazma had to win it by penalties 5-4. Egyptian forward Amr Samaka participated in the game as he came into action in the 67th minute. Kazma will face Kuwait in the semi-final.
