Etoile Sahel vice-president Jalel Krifa firmly denied Ahli claims that he met Moroccan referee Abderrahim El-Arjoune prior to the CAF Champions League final. Ahli officials were outraged with El-Arjoune's decisions in the 3-1 defeat to the Tunisian outfit, believing that he cost the Red Devils an unprecedented third successive African title. The Egyptian champions said they are set to receive a picture in which Krifa was spotted meeting with El-Arjoune in France capital Paris. However, Krifa, whose side enjoyed a first ever Champions League triumph, moved to quell the claims. "I haven't even flown to Paris during that period," he told Modern TV on Thursday. "I have a document which proves my words, I will publicize it in the coming few days." Krifa hit out at Egyptian newspapers for questioning Etoile's conduct after the final. "These newspapers kept telling lies instead of making a fair technical analysis on the match." Ahli have already filed an official complaint to CAF over the referee's display. The African governing body are set to announce their verdict on December fourth.
