Ittihad Alexandria grabbed their first win of the season when they crushed Aluminum 5-0 in the Egyptian League on Thursday. The north coast club went eight games without a single victory and had to change coaches two weeks into the season after Mohamed Omar quit. Mahmoud Sobhi scored a first half double while Sameh Youssef, Mahmoud Shaker and Hussein Fahmi completed the rout with a goal each after the break. The win moved Ittihad out of the relegation zone to lie in 13th place with 7 points, leading neighbors Harras Al-Hodoud on goal difference. Aluminum are in 8th place on 11 points. Al-Hodoud will play Arab Contractors on Friday with a chance to reclaim their place while Al-Baladeya host ENPPI.
