Belgian giants Anderlecht, where plays Egyptian captain Ahmed Hassan, showed another lackluster performance as they were held to a 0-0 draw by new-promoted side Cercle Bruges on Sunday. Ahmed Hassan was banned from the game while Moroccan Mbark Boussoufa and Mbo Mpenza were ruled out because of injuries. The Purple and White, who have 20 points from 11 matches, lost their chance to close the five-point gap on leaders Standard Liege who were held earlier by Mechelen 2-2.
