The Spanish giants Barcelona have issued a statement on the club's website denying claims that Ronaldinho is on his way out following his absence from the past couple of games. The Catalan bosses have also asked the fans to show some support for Ronaldinho who is currently trying to regain his physical and technical form. The 27-year-old forward has been whistled by a small section of the crowd in Camp Nou during the Champions League game against Lyon last week. "After the huge amount of information and opinions about the absence of Ronaldinho in the last two games, FC Barcelona would like to clarify that - the absence of the player is strictly due to medical reasons only," the statement read. "More precisely, it is due to a pull in the calf muscle of his right leg, as was detailed in a bulletin last Saturday. "Secondly, the player, like the rest of the players, has the support of the entire club as he looks to overcome his physical problem." "Finally, Ronaldinho is considered to be a key piece in the current sporting project and, therefore, no other options other than him continuing to play for the first team is being considered." There has been speculation concerning the future of the Brazilian ace at Barcelona after a reported rift between him and the bosses of the Catalan side. He has been linked with moves to either Chelsea or AC Milan in January or next summer. But with this statement it seems that Barca are putting an end to all the doubts concerning his future as they are willing to keep him.
