Zamalek have slammed Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala' with an EGP 25,000 fine after his insulting gestures towards Ahli's crowd in the Cairo derby on Monday. The club's official website confirmed the sanction and condemned Shikabala's attitude "despite the persistent insults from Ahli's crowd and their abusive chants for more than half an hour." After the game, the Zamalek forward was caught on camera with his shoe aloft against Ahli's fans, triggering a quarrel on the pitch between players from both sides. He was targetted by a barrage of insults from some thousands of Ahli fans during the second period, of Zamalek's 1-0 defeat. Ahli defender Emad Al-Nahhas, who descends from Shikabala's home town of Aswan, tried to calm down the Zamalek wizard but his efforts went in vain. Shikabala has also engaged with Ahli's Ahmed Al-Sayed, who castigated him for provoking the red fans.
