Italy coach Roberto Donadoni believes that Bayern Munich should have dealt with the thigh injury sustained by striker Luca Toni with more care after the Azzurri hitman was ruled out of this week's Euro 2008 qualifiers. The world champions missed the services of Toni in the 0-0 home draw with France on Saturday, and the Bayern ace will also miss midweek's clash in Ukraine. "It is a shame about Toni, as his injury is not serious, but it is painful," Donadoni was quoted as saying by Football Italia on Sunday. "As soon as he kicked the ball, he felt these bad twinges in his thigh. I think in Germany they underestimated the extent of the problem. I really doubt he will play the next game with Bayern Munich." Donadoni recalled Juve striker Vincenzo Iaquinta to replace Toni for the Ukraine clash, but the Azzurri could also miss doubtful duo Andrea Pirlo and Daniele De Rossi. "Andrea Pirlo just got a knock to the ankle. Daniele De Rossi had a few problems in the closing stages," the Italy coach said. Italy's draw with France and Scotland's win over Lithuania meant that Donadoni's men slipped to third place on 17 points, trailing leaders France by two and Scotland by one point.
