Werder Bremen grabbed their second successive win in the Bundesliga after beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at home on Saturday. Boubacar Sanogo put the hosts ahead in the 32nd minute and Petri Pasanen doubled the lead in the 79th minute. Michael Thurk scored for Frankfurt five minutes from time but his strike proved just a consolation. Bremen are fourth in the Bundesliga table with seven points, two short of leaders Bayern Munich who have a chance to go five points clear if they beat Hamburg on Sunday. Elsewhere, Italian midfielder Giovanni Federico struck home 14 minutes from time to lead Borussia Dortmund to a precious 1-0 victory over Hansa Rostock, who have lost all four games. A late strike by Solomon Okoronkwo earned Hertha Berlin a 2-1 home win over Wolfsburg. Marko Pantelic put Hertha in front seven minutes before the interval but Ashkan Dejageh equalized one minute after the hour mark. Nigerian forward Okoronkwo came to the hosts' rescue two minutes from time.
