Jol disappointed after second straight defeat
Published in FilGoal on 15 - 08 - 2007

Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol expressed his bitter feeling after getting nothing out of his side's first two Premiership games, leaving them bottom of the table.
Spurs were blanked by Everton 3-1 at White Hart Lane on Tuesday, after losing their first game against newly-promoted Sunderland with a last-gasp goal.
Even though Jol believes there is still long way to go this season, he admitted that it is frustrating to start the campaign like that.
"There are still a lot of chapters to go this season but to have zero points from the first two matches is disappointing," the Spurs coach was quoted by the club's official site.
Tottenham failed to come back from a 3-1 first half score line after goals from Joleon Lescott, Leon Osman and Alan Stubbs rounded off a deserved victory for the Toffees.
"The reality is if you look at the scoreboard and you concede three goals in the first half it's almost impossible against a team like Everton," Jol added.

Ghaly is yet to appear in Spurs' colors this season
However, the Dutchman gave his players a vote of confidence, as he insisted that his team possesses the ability to recover from their dismal start.
"The positive thing was I felt the spirit was good in the dressing room when we went out for the second half and I can't blame them because they did everything.
"We've one or two players to come back and we will do better because we've got the quality."
It seems that Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly is not one of the 'players to come back' for Jol, as the 26-year old is yet to make an appearance for Spurs this term despite being fit.
Ghaly's compatriot Mido is on the verge of completing a move to Middlesbrough after Tottenham agreed terms with Gareth Southgate's side.
