Konyaspor Egyptian defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa said that he would have refused to play his side's friendly against Israel's Hapeol Kfar Saba in the pre-season European tour. Al-Saqqa, along with compatriot Mohamed Abdullah didn't travel to Germany as their visa request will take two weeks before being granted because of the strict security procedures concerning the Arab travelers. However, the Egypt international admitted that even if he was there, he wouldn't have faced the Israeli outfit. "I informed the coach from the start that I will not take part in such a game, due to personal reasons," Al-Saqqa told FilGoal.com. The former Genclerbirligi stopper revealed that past experiences would force him to refuse taking part in the game. "I had a confrontation with Sivasspor's Israeli striker Pini Balili last season, and the player intended to annoy me during a league game." Al-Saqqa received a good offer from Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor two seasons ago, but he rejected the offer due to the presence of Balili with the Kayseri by that time.
