French coach Henri Michel has decided to exclude five players from Zamalek's squad next season, after providing his end-of-season report to the club's board. A Zamalek official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed to FilGoal.com on Saturday that Hossam Osama, Youssef Hamdi, Tamer Abdul-Wahab, Hani Al-Egezi and Walid Qandil have been released by the club. Midfielder Moataz Eno has already joined Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli and Ghanaian midfielder Awuley Quaye 'Junior' departed the club after his contract expired. As a result, the five players will not travel with Zamalek to France, where the Cairo giants will hold their pre-season camp. According to the official, Zamalek have registered 27 players and left three places vacant for Michel to further reinforce his squad in the January transfer window. Zamalek have signed defense trio Beshir Al-Tabie, Karim Zekri and Khaled Saad so far as they aim to end a three-year title-drought.
