Spanish 'Golden Boy' Fernando Torres is set to complete a $53.4million move from Atletico Madrid to Liverpool, Atletico announced on Tuesday. "Atletico Madrid has reached agreement with Liverpool Football Club for the transfer of Fernando Torres to the British club," the Spanish club said in a statement. The 23-year-old striker has already passed a medical at the Anfield club and his signing is only a matter of time. "The player has passed a medical, all the agreements are now in place and he will put pen to paper on the deal on Wednesday," confirmed a Liverpool spokesman. Torres will return to Madrid on Wednesday to bid farewell to his home club fans, before flying to Liverpool again in order to be unveiled by the Reds. The Spain international, who has 14 goals in 40 caps for his country, is expected to pen a six-year deal, earning $181,000 per week.
