Alexandria - Hani Al-Awadi: A crisis blew up in Ittihad following the departure of defenders Hossam Abul-Moneim and Anwar Shaloufa who benefited from a naive registration mistake by the club to walk away. Both players signed new contracts that should have been delivered to the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo on a due date of May 31st, what didn't happen as the Ittihad administration sent them to the Alexandria office. The Ittihad defenders, who already signed new contracts with the club, had offers from Ettisalat and ENPPI. Shaloufa signed a three year-deal with Ettisalat, as a free agent, after getting the green light from chief of the competitions committee Mohamed Ali and spokesman of the EFA Medhat Shalabi to move on as their contracts haven't been officially registered at the EFA. Meanwhile, vice-president Mohamed Mosselhi revealed that he had a meeting with his Ahli counterpart, Mahmoud Al-Khateeb, and gave him offers to sign Ahmed Hassan, Ahmed Galal and Abdulilah Galal.
