Egyptian left-winger Ahmed Abou-Mosallam was included in the starting line-up but was replaced in the 65th minute after he was booked three minutes earlier. The former Ahli player has been recently voted Strasbourg Player of March in a poll made on the club's official website. The result maintained Strasbourg's position in third place of the table with 57 points to close on a place in the top flight after a one-year absence.
