German champions Bayern Munich came from behind twice through defender Daniel van Buyten to hold AC Milan to a 2-2 away draw in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday. The Belgian international powered home a close range drive in the final minute of stoppage time to grab a precious equalizer that will favor Bayern in the second-leg that will be played on April 11th. Stand-in keeper Michael Rensing, who was deputizing for the suspended Oliver Kahn, made a superb save in the 36th minute when he denied Alberto Gilardino's powerful header. Milan took the lead four minutes later when Andrea Pirlo beat the offside trap to connect with Massimo Oddo's cross and loop a brilliant header past Rensing. Gilardino found the net just after the break but his effort was cruelly ruled out for an offside. Van Buyten put Bayern at level in the 78th minute when he fired home past Dida after Hasan Salihamidzic's cross fell in his vicinity. Brazilian playmaker Kaka regained the lead for the hosts from the penalty spot after he was clipped in the area by compatriot Lucio with six minutes left to play. The draw tainted Milan's chances as they need to produce a win in Munich next week to advance to the semi-finals.
