Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho was philosophical about his anticipated return to Porto on Wednesday. Mourinho, who guided Porto to the UEFA Champions League title in 2004, will return to face his old team when Chelsea visit the Estadio do Dragao in the first-leg of this edition's round of 16. "I look back at my time with Porto and think that I made the most of what the club had to give me and Porto made the most of what I had to give them," Mourinho was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. The Portuguese manager said that he expects mixed reactions when he takes the pitch with Chelsea. "In Porto I was a star. But now in Porto I expect applause and jeers," said Mourinho.
Ferreira was on the receiving end of one of Mourinho's stinging comments "From those who haven't forgotten my work at the club I expect applause. And perhaps even a standing ovation." The outspoken manager insisted he would pay attention to other kinds of outburst. "From those who have forgotten those two years I expect jeers, probably accompanied by insults. But I'm actually only going to Porto to play football and nothing else," he said. The controversial boss could not help taking a shot at his Porto predecessor. "Under coach Jesualdo Ferreira, in order to surpass what Mourinho did, Porto would have to win a Champions League, a UEFA Cup and a European Super Cup."
