Ismailia-Yasser Al-Sherif: Frenchman Patrice Neveu has been appointed as Ismaili's new boss replacing caretaker manager Sabri Al-Minyawi, the coastal club announced late on Wednesday. The former Guinea manager has put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half year deal that will see him earning $15,000 as a monthly salary. Neveu will have to pay $300,000 in case he leaves Ismaili before the contract runs out while the club will give him $30,000 if he was axed. Ismaili's board have reconsidered keeping Al-Minyawi in the hot seat after a series of disappointing results in the league campaign left them 11 points adrift of leaders Ahli. Al-Minyawi, who was initially appointed caretaker coach following the departure of Mark Wotte in December, was granted the head coach position after Ismaili's crushing 3-0 win over Ahli last month. Ismaili banked only eight points from five matches since the start of the second half of the season under Al-Minyawi. Neveu helped Guinea reach the quarter-finals at the 2006 African Cup of Nations that was held in Egypt. The 51-year-old was set to coach the Togolese national team in January, but his appointment was blocked by the Minister of Sport in the West African country.
