Ahli signed Tunisian midfielder Anis Boujelbene from Sfaxien on a two-and-half year contract for $50.000, the African champions said on Monday. Boujelbene will be paid $400.000 as signing fees and monthly salaries till June 2009, marketing manager Adli Al-Qayei told FilGoal.com. The 29-year-old Boujelbene, who can play on the left wing or in the heart of the midfield, was close on joining Zamalek but a financial deal wasn't sealed. He is likely to replace Gilberto in Ahli's squad as the Angolan winger suffers from a long-term Achilles injury. Al-Qayei said that Boujelbene will be Ahli's last signing during the winter transfer window. The Egyptian title holders have already signed Olympic right winger Ahmed Adel and Asyut Petroleum striker Abdul-Hamid Hassan.
