Konyaspor Egyptian defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa revealed that Zamalek are interested in acquiring his services in the January transfer window. "Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas talked to me over the possibility of joining the club," Al-Saqqa told FilGoal.com on Saturday. "I don't mind going back to Egypt after spending many years in Turkey but my return will be for my son's sake not because I'm fit for European football anymore like some reporters said." Zamalek have signed Sfaxien defender Wissem El-Abdi in a bid to strengthen their weak back-line and are looking to add Al-Saqqa to their ranks. "I feel I can be a valuable addition to Zamalek's squad," the 32-year-old added. The Egypt international has denied rumors saying that Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli have joined the race to sign him.
