Roma boss Luciano Spalletti voiced on Tuesday his optimism over his side's title hopes despite trailing leaders Inter by seven points. "Their run is impossible to keep up with, but we were able to avoid dropping any further points at the weekend," Spalletti said. "Seven points can be recuperated and Roma can reach Inter," he was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia magazine. Unbeaten in the Serie A this season, Inter set new club record of nine consecutive league victories when they beat Messina 2-0 last week. They are now close on tying the league's record of 11 wins which was set by Roma last season. But Spalletti stressed before Wednesday's game against Torino that the gap is not too wide to be rifted unless Inter continued playing with their current form. "I think we can still compete with the Nerazzurri, the problem is that they might continue playing this way and that would make things very difficult," he said. Roma are pressured by third-placed Palermo, who have 31 points, just four behind the Italian capital side.
