Arsenal's Wenger rues missed chances against CSKA
Published in FilGoal on 02 - 11 - 2006

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger rued his team's chances following the goalless home draw against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
"The normal score in this game is 7-0, maybe 7-1," Wenger told a post-game press conference.
The French manager said he understands the frustration of Arsenal's supporters, but insists his team played a great game.
"People will feel frustrated by the result but for me it is the best in the Champions League we have played since I've been here," said Wenger.
"I don't think tonight we could be guilty of trying to score the perfect goal -- we created clear-cut chances, we dominated this Moscow team by miles. There was a division's difference between us but we have to take the result."

The draw dropped Arsenal to third place in their Group G on six points, one point behind leaders CSKA and trailing Porto on goal difference.
But Wenger believes Arsenal's chances of making the knockout stage are high, especially if his players maintain their composure.
"The group is going to be very close now. It looks like the costly decision against us in Moscow could be crucial. But we are strong enough to cope with that," said Wenger.
"Whether we qualify depends how we deal with this frustration. I hope we become more determined to qualify because of this experience.
"This team has great potential," he said. “The team could explode and be sensational if we cope well with what we are facing. We just need to keep our belief."
