Egypt goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari signed a three-year contract extension with Ahli to end speculation regarding his future, the Egyptian champions said on Tuesday. The 33-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but he opted to extend his stay with Ahli. "Al-Hadari accepted our offer and did not set any conditions to extend his deal," Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com. Al-Qaeyi refuted rumors that Al-Hadari said he won't prolong his stay unless regaining the skipper's armband, while refusing to disclose the fee that will be paid to him. "These small things can't block Al-Hadari from staying especially that both of us wish to continue with each other," he said. "The player is the only one that has the right to disclose the fee, we only announce our new signings." Al-Qaeyi concluded by saying Ahli will extend the contracts of trio Mohamed Shawki, Shady Mohamed and Islam Al-Shater.
