Hosni Abd-Rabou converted a penalty late in the second-half to help Ismaili beat Petrojet 2-1 in an ill-tempered encounter on Saturday. Mohamed Fadl put Ismaili ahead in the 21st minute but Ivorian midfielder Mohamed Kofi leveled in the 77th minute. Abd-Rabou secured the win after three minutes with an unstoppable finish. Ismaili jumped to first spot on ten points, two points ahead of second-place Ittihad Alexandria. Petrojet are in eighth with six points. Ismaili fans pelted the home crowd with stones during the half-time, leaving several supporters injured. Asyut Petroleum grabbed their first point in the league when they tied Masri to a 1-1 draw. Saied Rabie scored for Masri in the 52nd minute before Mohamed Al-Ghannam equalized in the 75th minute. In other matches, Tersana and Tanta held Olympic Alexandria and ENPPI to a goalless draw.
