A superb volley by Hosni Abd-Rabou in the dying seconds earned Ismaili a 2-2 away draw with Harras Al-Hodoud in the Egyptian League on Saturday. Abdul-Salam Nagah put Al-Hodoud ahead in the 28th minute but Mohamed Fadl leveled the score six minutes later. Mohamed Halim restored the lead for the hosts three minutes after re-start before Egypt international Abd-Rabou salvaged a draw for Ismaili in stoppage time. Ismaili lost first place as the defeat put them second in the league table with 28 points, one behind defending champions Ahli, who still have two games in hand. Nagah broke the deadlock in the 28th minute when he connected with Ahmed Eid's inch-perfect cross to hit a left-footed first-timer into the back of the net. Ismaili were awarded a penalty six minutes later after Halim pushed Fadl inside the area.

In the 48th minute, Al-Hodoud skipper Halim towered to head Amr Al-Daly's free-kick into the back of the net. Ismaili played the last seven minutes with 10 men on the field after Fadl was sent-off for hitting the ball boy. The military club were preparing to celebrate their victory over the league leaders but a piece of magic from Abd-Rabou halted their joy. The former Strasbourg midfielder received Youssef Gamal's pinpoint cross with a stunning bicycle kick into the bottom of the net.
