Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghali started for Tottenham Hotspur in their 2-0 friendly victory over Spanish side Celta Vigo on Tuesday. Ghali, who usually plays as a holding midfielder, has been deployed in the right-back position and was substituted just five minutes from time. Jermaine Defoe scored Tottenham's two goals in the 50 and 52nd minutes. Ghali, 24, joined Tottenham last season from Dutch club Feyenoord but he has yet to make his Premiership debut. The former Ahli star took part in all his side's friendlies and coach Martin Jol may give him a bigger chance in the upcoming season.
