Ghana President John Agyekum Kufuor urged his national team to be brave when taking on Brazil in the World Cup on Tuesday saying that all Ghanaian people are united behind the Black Stars. "Be strong, be fearless and be confident. Play the game in the full knowledge that no matter what, the Black Stars of Ghana have made an indelible mark on the world," Kufuor said in a message to the team in Germany. "As you prepare yourselves for the battle ahead, know that every Ghanaian adds his/her hopes and prayers to mine for your success in tomorrow's big match," he added in the message published by the Ghanaian News Agency. Debuting Ghana were paired with World Champions Brazil in the round of 16 after they finished Group E in second spot behind Italy and ahead of favorites the Czech Republic. Ghana were the only African team reaching the knock-out stage and the Ghanaian president believes that his boys sent a strong message to the World regardless the result of Brazil game will be. "Know that in all our hearts you are already winners. Your remarkable achievement in this tournament can never be taken away from you," he said.
