Tunisia – Murad Al-Teyeb: Sfaxien have appointed Murad Mahgoub as the new team coach replacing Swiss boss Michel Decastel on a one-year-contract, the Tunisian club said on Thursday. Mahgoub, who previously won the Arab Champions League (ACL) with Sfaxien in 2004, will take on the team in their preparations for the coming African Champions League quarter-final group opener against African champions Ahli of Egypt. “I didn't hesitate in accepting the offer as I knew I'd be returning to my home and my family,” Mahgoub told FilGoal.com exclusively. “We have some very important African games ahead of us, but I've always loved taking on tough tasks,” Mahgoub added. Asked about his side's awaited clash against Ahli next month, Mahgoub said: “What's important for us now is reaching the semi-final, as for Ahli, they are a very strong team with a big history, but we will be well prepared to meet them after their long season.” Sfaxien will conduct a training camp in Bulgaria between July 21st to 29th where they will play three friendly games, before playing another two warm-ups in Tunisia as part of the team's preparations for the Ahli game.
