Ghana coach Ratomir Dujkovic said his side deserved a much bigger win over the Czech Republic in their World Cup match in Group E on Saturday. The Africans registered a surprising 2-0 win over the European Cup semi-finalists and kept their hopes alive in advancing to the second round. "I'm very happy, we are still in battle for qualification and I believe we can pass, my team played excellently, I'm just surprised we didn't score more goals," Dujkovic said in a press conference. "Peter Cech is an excellent keeper and he stopped it from being five-nil, and I think our strikers were sometimes a bit tired in front of goal." Dujkovic praised his player's winning spirit that helped them bounce back after the opening defeat against Italy. "We made up for our mistakes in the first game and we showed we can produce a powerful performance, we were the better team today," the Serbian coach said. Meanwhile Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner said that his team were taken by surprise right from the start and that caused them unbalance throughout the game. "The first goal was detrimental to our intentions, we were forced to play an open game which served Ghana," Bruckner said after the game.
