Buecker to leave Ismaili, in talks with Al-Wehda
Published in FilGoal on 14 - 06 - 2006

Ismailia–Yasser Al Sherif: German coach Theo Buecker announced that he will leave his position as Ismaili coach following the team's defeat to Zamalek in the Egyptian Cup semi finals on Tuesday.
"The club board didn't provide me with what I asked for and tend to interfere in my work," Buecker said.
"The administration refused to fulfill my requirements for new players and instead chose to appoint a football director [Sabri Al-Menyawi] who attacked me publicly on TV."
"They even asked me to provide them with them with the line-up for Zamalek's game ahead of time and accused me of making mistakes in the line-up against Ahli," he added.
Buecker, who took charge of the club in January on a six months contract, said that he will not extend his stay and will end his engagement with Ismaili after re-paying the $50,000 installment he received earlier.
The German coach admitted for the first time that there are ongoing negotiations with Al-Wehda club, but insisted that he is yet to sign any contract with the Saudi Club as he is due to travel to Cairo to hold talks with the club officials.
Buecker said that should he reach an agreement with Al-Wehda, he will start preparations for the new season with the Saudi club after spending his vacation in Lebanon, adding that he will return to coaching in the Lebanese league if he doesn't sign for Al-Wehda.
Ismaili finished the season empty handed in one of their worst campaigns ever.
"If the atmosphere remains like this in Ismaili, the team will continue to produce bad performances and results," Buecker noted.
