Ismailia-Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili goalkeeping coach Hassan Mokhtar has accused German manager Theo Buecker of forcing him to quit his post. Mokhtar said Buecker held him responsible for the dismal state in which Ismaili goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi appeared during the Zamalek match. "Buecker has the final say on the team's starting line-up, so why is he holding me responsible?" the veteran coach told Filgoal.com. "He is the one who keeps saying Sobhi and his substitute Mohamed Fathi are both good goalkeepers," he said. Ismaili slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Zamalek in their Egyptian league match in Ismailia last Tuesday. "It's plain and simple, Buecker doesn't like me and that's why he wants me out," said Mokhtar. "He holds a grudge against me. Why, I don't know. But all I can say is that since he took over Ismaili he hasn't talked to me once!" he claimed.
Buecker The former national team coach said he found no support from Ismaili's administration who he says gave him the option of quitting rather than being relieved of his post. Sobhi voiced his backing for Mokhtar and insisted the coach was set-up. "The proof that Mokhtar has been set-up is that I didn't know I'm starting the Zamalek game until an hour before. How am I expected to be ready for such a big game," Sobhi said. "The club is trying to find a scapegoat for the defeat against Zamalek," Sobhi said. "So they chose me and Mokhtar." Sobhi claimed his days with the Dervishes were numbered and that he received a number of offers. "Frankly, I don't care, because I'm considering a move away from Ismaili," he said. Ismaili football supervisor Abdul-Rahman had previously announced that the club accepted Mokhtar's resignation.
