The Petrol sector's sports committee are considering to let-go of Enppi boss Taha Besri after holding the position for a total of six years, an insider source told FilGoal.com. The committee are looking to replace the former Zamalek player with a more experienced head coach to elevate the team's status, the source, who refused to disclose his name, added. “The relationship between Besri and the players became more like routine, that's why it's time for a change,” the source said. “Enppi's defeat to Moroccan powerhouse Raja Casablanca in the Arab Champions League (ACL) finals revealed that the team needs a more experienced coach. The team's capabilities outran those of Besri's,” he added. Rumors also spread about a link between the committee and former Egypt boss and current Jordan coach Mahmoud Al-Gohari, but affirmations have yet to surface. Besri took over Enppi in 2000 and lead the team to promote to the Egyptian premier league two years later, before leading them to win last season's Egypt Cup and end the Egyptian league as runners-up. On the other hand, the committee are also studying appointing new coaches for Petrojet and Asyut Petrol, who promoted for next season's premier league for the first time in their history.
