Ahli boss Manuel Jose blasted Enppi players following their excessive roughness against his players in their Egyptian league match, postponed from round-12, that took place on Thursday. “Enppi players played very rough intentionally against my players to wear them down,” Jose told reporters in a press conference that took place after the match. Ahli grabbed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Enppi, whose players received five bookings, on Thursday thanks to a Mohamed Abdul-Wahad free-kick in the 35th minute. “Enppi played like a bunch of amateurs, it had nothing to do with real football,” Jose continued. On the other hand, Enppi head coach Taha Besri seemed unmoved by Jose's statements and insisted that the main reason behind their defeat was referee Samir Othman. “What Jose said about us being amateurs is his own opinion, but the fact of the matter is that all foreign coaches come to Egypt to hone their experience and resume,” Besri said. “Jose's statement are unacceptable, and if he didn't like how the game is played in Egypt, then he'd better leave. The referee was very complementary for Ahli, but Jose wasn't satisfied, and never seizes to blame bad refereeing to the downfall of Egyptian football,” he added.
