Ahli have filed an official complaint to the Egyptian FA against what they called "the intended aggression against players" and called on protecting their team in the upcoming matches, the club said. The Egyptian Champions attached a video includes some snapshots that show several harsh tackles against their players during the 1-0 victory over Enppi last week. The tensed match witnessed many protests from both sides over the refereeing as Ahli manager Manuel Jose demanded protection for his players through out the match Enppi boss Taha Basri hit out at the referee in the press conference for not awarding his side "a crystal clear penalty kick".
Jose Ahli submitted a second complaint to the referees committee against official Samir Osman who was in charge of Enppi match, accusing him of ignoring FIFA Fair Play rules. They also denounced Harras Al-Hodoud request to appoint foreign referees for the two clubs next match, a move, according to Ahli officials, incites local referees to take an unreasonable hard-line against the team. Meanwhile, The Egyptian FA denied receiving any complaints from Ahli or Enppi after their last game. Egyptian League manager Mohamed Ali stressed, though, that in case the FA received any complaint, they will launch an immediate inquiry and heavy penalties will be waiting for the guilty side.
