Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger voiced his content with his side's 1-0 win over Villarreal in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals at Highbury that took place on Wednesday. "I am reasonably pleased, but I felt we should have scored more goals," Sky Sports quoted Wenger as saying on Thursday. Arsenal go to the second leg at El Madrigal with a one goal advantage thanks to Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure's goal in the first-half after tapping in the ball from Alexander Hleb's low-cross. However, Wenger believes his side should have scored more goals in the match, but they shifted to a more defensive strategy to maintain their lead, an aspect that stood in the way of scoring any other goals. "It was a difficult situation keeping a clean sheet and going forward and we didn't find our flow in the second half. It was difficult to dictate the game because they played well and made things difficult for us." Wenger said.. "At home you never know what is enough for a semi-final and it is difficult to go forward," he added. The French tactician also expressed his disappointment at the way Villarreal players acted on the pitch, trying to defend Arsenal's attacks and influence the referee's decisions. "They were very tricky in their attempts to break our attacks down," he said. Asked about the return leg in Spain, Wenger said: “ We will try to defend well and play our game, and to keep a clean sheet is a good basis, but of course it is not enough to go there and defend. We want to go there and play our game and score goals."
