Inter Milan focus currently on winning trophies other than new signings or extending contracts, club owner Massimo Moratti said. "We are trying to do well in all the competitions we're involved in: second place in the championship, the Tim Cup, and most of all the Champions League," Moratti told Inter.it on Monday. "I think that the rest, including what I read and hear about Ronaldo in the papers and on television distracts everyone from the things we should be focusing on now. I'm the one who's thinking about it the least." Moratti's side lost hope to snatch the Scudetto title this season and fighting with city rivals Milan for the second spot but they reached the Champions League quarter-finals where they were drawn with Spanish surprise Villarreal.
Recoba Inter were linked recently with a number of high-profile strikers including Real Madrid's Ronaldo, Arsenal captain Thierry Henry and Manchester United's Ruud Van Nistelrooy. The club owner denied also any extension talks with Inter stars who are tipped to depart this summer, with Alvaro Recoba and Juan Veron atop the list. "No appointment has been made with anyone for the contract renewal. There will be at the right time," Moratti said.
