Villarreal close on Kahveci - Report

Spanish outfit Villarreal have agreed a deal with Real Sociedad striker Nihat Kahveci to move to the club by the end of the season.
The 27-year-old Turk is expected to join the team starting of June after signing a four-year contract for a undisclosed fee, Spanish daily Marca reported on Saturday.
Kahveci became Sociedad's top-scorer after netting six goals, and leading his side to the 15th place in the La Liga standings with a tally of 22 points with the end of the 21st round.
Villareal had contacted Sociedad officials to seal the deal, but ended up postponing the move until the end of the season.
Russian powerhouse Spartak Moscow had approached Kahveci twice before to add him to their squad, but failed on both accounts, first after his own injury and the second time failed after Darko Kovacevic picked up a serious injury and was sidelined for the rest of the season.
Villarreal qualified to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after coming in third place in last season's Spanish league.
