Lemerre warns players against complacency

Alexandria - Murad Teyeb: Tunisia coach Roger Lemerre warned his players against under-estimating South Africa in their African Cup of Nations (ACN) Group C match on Thursday.
“This match will be very tough and we are expecting serious reaction from South Africa", Lemerre told a press meeting at the Hilton Borg El-Arab hotel.
"The opposition Ivory Coast faced from Libya should serve us as an example of the difficulties we might encounter before securing our second victory", Frenchman Lemerre added.
Lemerre also said then even though South African suffer from defence problems, they were still a strong team and stressed that his players should especially keep an eye on their attacking-lines.
"Despite some difficulties in their defence, they are a good team and some of their players, mainly strikers Zuma and McCarthy, are very good players of which we should pay a lot of attention,” Lemerre said.
Asked about who he thought were favourites to clinch the cup, Lemerre said “Egypt, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisia's victories in their first respective matches are promising for an excellent Cup of Nations campaign."
On the other hand, The Carthage Eagles boss refused to mention any details about his probable line-up for tomorrow's game but said that the team's basic players will be there.
"My basic players will be there, along with our tactical principles and convictions. Our qualification hasn't yet been secured, and we'll behave regardless of our previous victory over Zambia and South-Africa's loss to Guinea.
"If there's anything that preoccupies us, it's the yellow cards collected by Jaziri and Bouazizi, and this factor could intervene in our choices tomorrow," he said.
