Egyptian defender Ahmed Abou-Mosallam was sent off in his side Strasbourg's 2-1 defeat to Bordeaux in the Ligue 1 action on Saturday. Ulrich Le Pen put Strasbourg ahead from a 10th minute penalty-kick before Bordeaux's Brazilian midfielder Menegazzo. Abou-Mosallam received his marching orders in the 40th minute for tripping defender Julien Faubert who scored the winner for Bordeaux deep into stoppage time. The win put Bordeaux in second place of the Ligue 1 table on 42 points, 11 adrift of leaders Lyon. Abou-Mosallam, who is suspended for his side's next match, had completed a move to Strasbourg from Egyptian champions Ahli earlier this month. In other matches, Ajaccio stunned Marseille with a 3-1 win, Nantes crushed Metz 4-1, Nice edged PSG 1-0, Rennes lost to Nancy 2-0, Sochaux thrashed St Etienne 4-0, Toulouse held Lille to a goalless draw and Le Mans beat Troyes 3-1.
