Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba said that his team's match against hosts Egypt in the third round of their African Cup of Nations Group A will be “very tough”. “It's the final game of the group phase, which means it will be a pivotal one,” Drogba told Filgoal.com on Friday. “But we have to worry about our first two games before taking on the hosts,”the Chelsea striker said. Drogba said that his team is aiming to clinch the African title despite strong competition from teams like Egypt, Cameroon and Tunisia and the intense pressure his team is facing. “My teammates and I already feel the pressure, but we're professionals, we have to continue winning and reach the final,” he said.
The 27-year-old spoke of the civil unrest threatening his country, noting that football is one thing that brings his countrymen together. “It's a big responsibility; the matches we'll be playing aren't the same as the ones we play with our clubs. We will be playing with our hearts before our brains,” said the former Marseille forward. Drogba refused to comment on the tough group his country was drawn to in the 2006 World Cup finals. Ivory Coast were drawn in Group C alongside Argentina, Holland and Serbia. “We're not thinking about the World Cup, it's six month away. We're just concentrating on the African Cup for now,” said Drogba.
