Morocco players expressed their confidence in defeating Egypt in their coming African Cup of Nations (ACN) Group A match that will take place on Tuesday and making up for their earlier defeat to Ivory Coast in their opener on Saturday. “We will beat Egypt, and we will make up our defeat to Ivory Coast, I'm sure we are up for it,” Morocco defender Noureddine Kacimi told Filgoal.com exclusively on Sunday. “If we beat Egypt, they will have no choice but to go all out and beat Ivory Coast in the final round to secure passage to the quarter-finals, which in turn gives us a chance to top the group” he added. Morocco were relegated to Group A third-place after losing their opener against Ivory Coast 1-0. Morocco forward Hicham Aboucherouane said that he was still in shock from the defeat and said: “We were the better team throughout the entire match, but Ivory Coast made use of their only chance and won the game.” Goalkeeper Mustapha Chadli insisted that Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba shouldn't have been awarded the penalty-shot and said that a replay of the incident clearly showed that the tackle was done out of the box. “The penalty-kick wasn't just, there is a big exclamation mark around the referee in general and the assistant referees specifically, anyhow, if Youssef Hadji had scored from the two chances he got, it would've been a totally different result,” Chadli said.
