Barcelona and Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o is set to join his national team for the African Cup of Nations (ACN) on January 16th, the Catalan club said. "Samuel Eto'o will join up with the Cameroon squad for the African Nations Cup after Barca's game against Athletic Bilbao on 15 January at the Nou Camp," Barcelona said on their website on Wednesday. The departure date was decided after the 24-year-old striker met with Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard. Eto'o will play local league encounters against Espanyol on January seventh and Athletic Bilbao eight days later as well as Zamora game in the second leg the King's Cup round of 16. The ACN will take place in Egypt from the 20th of January until February 10th. Cameroon were drawn in Group B along with Democratic Republic of Congo and World Cup sides Angola and Togo. Eto'o played 21 matches for the Catalan giants this season and scored 20 goals in all competitions.
